Direct and Indirect Speech

First , let me introduce my self . My name is Dwi Laras Seftyantri . I’am study in Gunadarma University

I’am from South Tangerang , Banten. I will tell you about Direct and Indirect speech and the Differences of that because I want to finish my assignment.

1)    Direct speech

Is sentence have a quotes mark from another spoken person without change their word and have a quotes mark.

Example Direct Speech : Daddy Said “Have you eat?” this is direrect speech because “Direct no change of the word.

2)   Indirect speech

Is part of general what another people spoken but their is change of the word without change the means , and indirect speech haven’t quote mark because is part of general form what another spoken so indirect speech quote mark is not required .

Example Indirect speech : My Dad askme , that I had eaten this is the sentence that delivery from my dad . And there is a change of the words in sentence and quote is not following in the sentence .

If in Indonesian there is little different :

First person pronoun, replaced by a third person. “Saya” or “Aku” is replaced by “Dia” or “Ia”.

Second person pronoun, replace by a first person. “Kamu” is replaced by “Aku”, “Saya” or name of person.
